I love travelling through Japan, soaking in the culture, the sights, and—most memorably—the tradition of Hanami. If you’re not familiar, Hanami is a beautiful Japanese celebration where friends gather under blooming cherry blossoms (Sakura) to enjoy the gob-smacking beauty of the season. It’s all about celebrating the moment, appreciating nature’s transient splendour, and sharing that joy with others. That idea left a lasting impression on me.

Hanami instantly felt like the right name for our business. To me, it’s not just about cosmetics—it’s about those moments when we catch ourselves feeling beautiful and confident. Like sitting under the cherry blossoms, it’s a chance to pause, appreciate, and celebrate who we are in that very moment. We shouldn't always be expected to be in this state (as we don't expect this of the Sakura), but when we do it’s special. It’s powerful. It's a celebration of ourself!
